Three MPs may lose immunity

THE ATTORNEY General's Office has asked parliament to remove the immunity of three more MPs, after parliament accepted the removal of another MP's immunity in late May.

Two of the MPs, Movement for a Democratic Slovakia's (HZDS) Milan Rehák and former HZDS member Igor Pinkava, are accused of irregularities relating to the sale of 36 flats and 33 garages in 1996 and 1997, when the two were members of the National Property Fund management committee.

For the third MP, Gustáv Krajči, also a former HZDS member, this would be the second time his parliamentary immunity has been removed. His case relates to financial irregularities during his time as interior minister in 1996.
