Tesco held to ransom

AN UNKNOWN blackmailer contacted a Tesco hypermarket in Banská Bystrica and demanded Sk12 million (€290,000), threatening to cause unspecified damage to the firm if his demands were not met.

The blackmailer is linked to a May explosion in the store's food department. Police are investigating the case.
