Summer solstice music festival

ON JUNE 21, the city of Košice, in cooperation with the Alliance Francaise, will present the Festival of Music (Fete de la Musique). The main aim of the event is to give established and unknown musicians the opportunity to play together in the streets. The participants, who are both professional and amateur musicians as well as music students, will perform on Hlavná street from 14:00 until 22:00.

Paying a visit to Košice on this occasion will be French guitar player and chanson singer Jean-Michel Chevry, who will perform with his band at 14:00 in front of the Slovak Technical Museum and at 19:00 in the Nebo-Peklo restaurant at Vrátna 4. Chevry, who will perform music from his latest album, Passeport, will also be visiting three other eastern Slovak cities.

His performances, in Michalovce (June 23), Humenné (June 24), and Snina (June 25), will all take place in the towns' main squares and will be free.
