Prison director may be dismissed over Majský

The director of the high-security Leopoldov prison may be dismissed after letting Jozef Majský out of pre-trial custody early so that he could avoid waiting journalists. Justice Minister Daniel Lipšic has been in talks with director of the prison service Oto Lobodáš over the issue, according to the daily SME.

Normally prisoners are released between 7:00 and 15:00, but Majský, awaiting trial for offences connected to the collapse of investment companies BMG Invest and Horizont Slovakia, was released before 6:00.
