A visit to Belarus by opposition party Smer leader Robert Fico has outraged coalition politicians, who say the trip gave false legitimacy to the president Alexander Lukašenka's internationally-isolated regime.
"We are disappointed that Fico went to give a democratic façade to Lukašenka's undemocratic regime," said parliamentary speaker Pavol Hrušovský.
Other MPs called his visit scandalous.
