Record-breaking temperatures

SOUTHERN and central Slovakia saw record-breaking temperatures of over 35ë Celsius on July 1, continuing a trend of high temperatures from June.

"In the south of the country June temperatures were five degrees higher than normal and were the highest since 1948," explained Jana Čerbová from the Slovak Meteorological Institute.
