Reader feedback: A few ideas

Re: Readers suggest ways to promote Bratislava July 21 - August 3, Vol 9 No 28

My Australian born children are as fascinated by stories about Juraj Janošík as they are by Harry Potter or Ned Kelly. Publish and translate more books, produce more films that celebrate Slovak character and spread the word widely.

Let hotels strategically invite travel writers whenever folklore festivals take place. Bratislava will always be the New York of Slovakia so promote Slovakia as a whole.

Stress the fact that Bratislava is at the heart of Europe and is keen as hell to be the crossroads for one and all trade conferences.

Let Bratislava become the most hospitable conference organiser in the world. After all, Slovaks are already the best hosts. So boast about this unique disposition.

Invest in transport infrastructure...rather than in advertising!
