Ministers agree to peacekeeping missions

FOREIGN AFFAIRS Minister Eduard Kukan and Interior Minister Ivan Šimko agreed at a meeting on August 25 that it was important for Slovakia to take part in joint peacekeeping missions under European Union command.

The two ministers agreed the conditions for Slovakia's participation in the Concordia mission, currently ongoing in Macedonia.

They also discussed Slovakia's next moves in relation to peace-keeping operations in the world, with respect to the country's foreign policy interests and capacities.
