Celebrating the patron of hunters

THE HUNTERS' festival, Days of St. Hubert, which celebrates the patron of hunters, will take place next weekend. From September 6th to the 7th, hunters from all around the country will gather in the courtyard of the Mansion in Svätý Anton, near the central Slovak town of Banská Štiavnica.

THE HUNTERS' festival, Days of St. Hubert, which celebrates the patron of hunters, will take place next weekend. From September 6th to the 7th, hunters from all around the country will gather in the courtyard of the Mansion in Svätý Anton, near the central Slovak town of Banská Štiavnica.

The hunting feast will be accompanied by a number of competitions and attractions, among these will be a target-shooting contest using historical hunting guns and a longest beard competition. Participants will also be able to compete in fishing and hunting. There will be falconry and historical fencing shows, as well as a hunters' fashion show and various cultural performances.
