Rusko's immunity preserved

PROSECUTOR Ladislav Harman has rejected the investigator's motion to request the parliament to surrender New Citizen's Alliance (ANO) leader Pavol Rusko to criminal prosecution.

Shortly after the prosecutor had announced his decision, ANO leaders nominated their boss Rusko to the post of economy minister, currently held by his party colleague Robert Nemcsics.

However, once Rusko becomes the economy minister, he automatically loses his deputy immunity.

Rusko has already met Prime Minister Mikuláš Dzurinda, who was not against the nomination.
