ECONOMY Minister Robert Nemcsics has submitted his resignation to President Rudolf Schuster. According to presidential spokesman Ján Füle, Schuster will accept the resignation on Wednesday.
"The president has no other option. If he refuses to accept the resignation, he would violate the constitution, which says that no one can be forced to perform a political function," Füle explained.
Schuster will also name one of the ministers with an economic portfolio as the temporary manager of the department. Nemcsics will return to the parliament as a deputy.
