Molex opens new production line

Molex (US), one of the world's major connector manufacturers, opened a new factory producing telecommunication equipment components and car airbag sensors in Kechnec (the Kosice region), on September 16.

Located at the Kechnec Industrial Park, the facility has an area of 3,600 square metres, is equipped with cutting edge technology, and has created 100 new jobs, news wire TASR reported.

When entering the Slovak market, Molex pledged to invest in $75 million over the next ten years in Slovakia.

The investment of €2.5 million in the project was described by Molex officials as being among the largest in recent years.
