IN SHORT

New candidates for NBÚ

PETER Dohányos, who works as deputy head of the industrial security section with the National Security Office (NBÚ), is the new Hungarian Coalition Party (SMK) candidate for the top NBÚ seat.

Another coalition party, the New Citizen's Alliance (ANO), confirmed that it also had a candidate for the top post, but refused to publish the name of the official, who, according to ANO sources, also works at the NBÚ.

The NBÚ is currently run by acting chief Matej Sudor. On October 29 the cabinet prolonged his term in office until the end of the year.
