THE MOVEMENT for a Democratic Slovakia (HZDS) will support early elections, but the party is also willing to back a temporary minority government.
According to the HZDS board of chairmen, the second option would come into consideration provided that early elections are announced, and the privatisation of strategic firms is stopped, as are "other measures that would considerably deepen the social problems of inhabitants" said HZDS deputy chairman Sergej Kozlík.
HZDS would only back the minority cabinet if PM Mikuláš Dzurinda were not its leader.
