Reader feedback: Majority language must be learned

Everyone should be able to study in whatever language they like, provided they speak Slovak as well. Slovaks and Hungarians are free to pursue educations in most languages in the US and Canada, but it is nearly impossible to exist in those countries without speaking French or English.

My parents are from Slovakia. I know Slovak and love Slovakia, but to exist in Canada we had to learn English. I don't see how learning English or any other language is an assault on Slovakia. I know I'm still Slovak.
