Czech Republic hottest candidate for Hyundai investment

CZECH Republic is the hottest candidate for a $1.5 billion (€1.3 billion) investment in the construction of a car plant in central Europe, Hyundai spokesman Jake Jang confirmed.

Jang said, however, that a final decision had not been made yet and that Slovakia, Hungary, and Poland also remained in the competition. The final decision in the matter is expected in spring 2004.
