Privatisation plans on table

ECONOMY Minister Pavol Rusko submitted a draft plan on the completion of privatisation to his ruling partners on November 4.

According to Rusko's plan, 51 percent of the stakes in heating companies should be sold to strategic investors, a part of privatisation proceeds should be transferred to the National Property Fund, and the remaining part should be used for the capital increase and technological reconstruction of the heating companies.

Rusko does not favour further privatisation of the gas utility SPP. The privatisation of the power producer SE was not discussed at the meeting.

Ruling partners are expected to study Rusko's plan and will discuss it again in two weeks.
