FOUR Polish painters - Jerzy Grabowski, Janusz Orbitowski, Jan Pamuła, and Mieczysław Wiśniewski - present their works at the Komart Gallery. The artists are representatives of the Polish wave of geometrical abstraction, and belong to the generation that emerged onto the Polish and international art scene in the 1960s. The exhibition is open from Tuesday to Friday from 10:00 to 18:00 and runs until January 11, 2004 at the Galéria Komart (Komart Gallery) on Zámočnícka 8. Admission is free. THE CONTEMPORARY dance performance Quiet Desert will take place at 19:00 on November 11 at the Dance Studio in Banská Bystrica. Five dancers - Tomáš Nepšinský, Veronika Koprnová, and Zdenka Svíteková from Slovakia, as well as Ondrej Vidlář and Lenka Vokurková from the Czech Republic, will perform choreography by Zuzana Hájková. Quiet Desert won the international Festival of Contemporary Dance contest in Slovakia this year and will be shown at the Japanese Dance Biennial 2004 festival, which will run in Tokyo next November.
