A SURVEY produced by the Slovak Statistics Office (ŠÚ SR) showed that the majority of people perceive inflation to be dramatically higher than it is in reality.
Slovak daily Hospodárske noviny reported that, while in October 2003, year-on-year inflation was 9.6 percent, a vast majority (92 percent of people) said in the survey that prices were 17.3 percent higher than in the previous year.
