Another platform founded

ANOTHER ruling party has seen an independent platform created by some of its members - the New Citizen's Alliance (ANO).

The ANO platform is called the Liberal Forum and consists of regular members of the party in ANO's Trnava branch.

On November 18, The Slovak Spectator reported that eight MPs from PM Mikuláš Dzurinda's Slovak Democratic and Christian Union (SDKÚ) had formed the Free Forum platform.

According to the Slovak daily SME, the members of the ANO platform were concerned over their party's departure from practical policymaking. The platform's members declared that they would take the right to "discuss freely and aloud the direction of the party".

ANO's deputy chairman, Ľubomír Lintner, said "the party's leaders should pay closer attention to the signals from the regions."
