Cabinet's legislators okay immunity limitation

THE CABINET's legislative council approved Justice Minister Daniel Lipšic's plan to limit the immunity currently granted to MPs.

According to Lipšic's plan, MPs would only be protected in their voting and statements presented in parliament. Currently, MPs enjoy wide legal protection from prosecution that can only be removed through a vote in parliament based on a prosecutor's request.
