HZDS replaces held MP

THE OPPOSITION party Movement for a Democratic Slovakia (HZDS) will replace its MP Gabriel Karlin, who is held in custody on corruption charges.

Katarína Tóthová, the deputy PM for legislation under the Vladimír Mečiar cabinet in 1990s, will replace Karlin.

She is expected to take a parliamentary oath today, the Slovak daily Pravda wrote.
