Banáš leaves ANO

ANOTHER deputy from Economy Minister Pavol Rusko's ruling coalition party, the New Citizen's Alliance (ANO), has announced his departure, the daily SME wrote.

Jozef Banáš, the fifth top official to leave the party since parliamentary elections, said that ANO has greatly deviated from its initial policy line.

According to Banáš, the party placed morally and professionally unfit people on their candidate list for the European Parliament.

Banáš intends to perform as an independent MP and support the government's programme.
