Klimčák's Slovakia in Russia

SLOVAKIA and Slavs is an exhibition of artwork by Mikuláš Klimčák running at the Slovak Institute in Moscow, Russia, until March 20.

The display presents 54 works ranging from tapestries and graphic works to tempera, oil, and acrylic paintings, in which the artist develops the message of the national history of Great Moravia, the Cyril-Methodius tradition, and the iconography of eastern Slovak ceremonials.

The exhibition is part of the Russian celebration of the 1,140th anniversary of the arrival of the saints Cyril and Methodius in Great Moravia, the Slovak news agency TASR reported.
