2003 average wage is Sk14,315

THE AVERAGE wage in Slovakia in 2003 reached Sk14,315 (€353) according to the Statistics Office.

The Slovak daily Pravda reported on March 16, however, that considerable regional differences in wages have prevailed and that people in the Bratislava region remained the best paid throughout Slovakia.

The average wage in the Bratislava region was almost Sk19,000 (€470) compared to the worst paid Prešov region in eastern Slovakia, where the average wage was only 11,400 (€281).
