MEDIA monitoring organisation MEMO 98 said in its most recent report that the presidential election campaign lacks competitiveness and called the campaign superficial.
According to MEMO 98, President Rudolf Schuster received the most extensive coverage in Slovak media, while the ruling Slovak Democratic and Christian Union's candidate, Eduard Kukan, was the second most featured candidate.
The private news agency SITA reported that MEMO 98 said several topics overshadowed the presidential elections, including the skupinka case [see story above] and the referendum on early elections.
