Universities protest low budget

REPRESENTATIVES of Slovak universities have told the Finance Ministry that it must increase their budgets, or they may have to shut down the academies in September.

The Slovak daily Pravda wrote on March 31 that the universities were demanding Sk280 million (€6.9 million) in addition to this year's budget so they could cover their energy bills.
