TERRY Lee Hale & Band from the USA will perform on April 15 at 20:00, at Klub za zrkadlom (Za zrkadlom Club) at Rovniankova 3. The rock-blues-folk singer and guitarist found inspiration from country artist Willie Nelson in Texas, electric bluesman Muddy Waters in Chicago, and the rock scene in Seattle. His lyrics reflect the influence of the beat generation, much like the poems of Charles Bukowski. Hale's guest on April 15 will be Slovak harmonica player Erich "Boboš" Procházka. FRENCH Song 2004, the sixth annual Slovak contest of amateur singers, has been running since February. The Slovak Andante orchestra, conducted by Jaroslav Žigo and featuring the bands Margot and Zmena Mena, traditionally accompanies the competitors. Several such concerts will occur in the coming weeks. The first concert starts on April 17 at the House of Culture at Námestie slobody 3 in Banská Bystrica. Others appear on April 20 in Pezinok, on April 21 in Liptovský Mikuláš, on April 22 in Prievidza, and on April 23 in Košice. The tour ends in Bratislava on April 25 at the Bratislava Cultural Information Centre at Nábrežie Ludvíka Svobodu 3. All concerts are free and start at 19:00. Andrea Zimányiová, who won the competition's first year, and her band Margot will also perform in Brussels on April 30 and May 1 in celebration of the country's EU entry. Tel: 02/5934-7735.
