Figeľ faces MEP questioning

THE FUTURE Slovak commissioner in the European Union, Ján Figeľ, has won the support of the European Parliament, the daily Pravda wrote.

Figeľ went through an MEP hearing on Wednesday April 14 led by Joseph Daul of France. All the questions put to Figeľ concerned technical details related to the industry and information sectors, the fields he is to be responsible for in his future post.

Figeľ said he considered the absence of questions related to the political situation in Slovakia a positive signal.
