I don't feel less valuable or forced to use English when I communicate here or anywhere else. I just as often use German, as a matter of fact. If we consider the assumption that Europe should have its own European language, and it can't be English, then German must be the only realistic alternative for now. Almost a quarter of the EU population have it as their mother language. But I'm sure there are a lot more people using English as their second language than any other language, so I will put my money on it whether or not it gives the Anglo-Saxons an advantage.
