ANO supports completion of Mochovce

THE NATIONAL party congress of the ruling New Citizen's Alliance (ANO) unanimously supported the completion of the third and fourth blocks of the Mochovce nuclear power plant, the Pravda daily wrote.

The party's chairman, Pavol Rusko, was the most vocal supporter of the project’s completion.

The Mochovce plant is part of the Sovenské elektrárne power producer’s assets, of which a 66 percent stake is on sale. According to Rusko, his party's support for the completion of the plant will be determining in the selection of the new investor, who will have to secure the completion of the two blocks.

Rusko's cabinet partners said that the completion of Mochovce was possible only if the construction was not financed by the state.
