US Steel pays $16 million in tax

US STEEL has paid a tax of $16 million (€13 million) to Slovakia. The payment is related to an agreement between Slovakia and the European Commission and resolves the issue of overproduction of steel in the company’s US Steel Košice branch, SME wrote.

US Steel will pay the same tax next year.
