FANS of classic cars are in for a treat at the car show and driving contest to be held in Nitra between July 23 and 25. Organised by the Veteran Car Club of Nitra, this is the 13th year of the convention, and the fifth year for the simultaneous convention of three-wheelers.

The event will start on Friday evening at 21:00, when the classic cars and motorbikes will gather in front of the Olympia Hotel before taking an evening drive around the town. On the second day the cars will make a daytrip to Topoľčianky. On Sunday morning the drivers will have a chance to show their dexterity and compete in a competition to test their driving skill and accuracy. The event will close at 11:00, when the winners will be announced and medals distributed.

The contest and show is open to vehicles manufactured before 1970 and the organisers are expecting around 60 vintage cars from Slovakia and neighbouring countries. For more information call 0915/705-038.
