THE STATE-run Lesy SR forestry company reported a Sk144 million mid-year profit on sales of almost Sk2.7 billion, the business paper Hospodárske noviny wrote.
Lesy SR spokesman Peter Gogola said that in the first six months of 2004 the company did well in terms of timber sales, reducing its timber stocks by 100,000 cubic meters (m3) to 225,000 m3.
