SAS summer school resumes

MORE than 170 students, from 36 countries, will attend this year's 40th annual summer school of Slovak language and culture, Studia Academica Slovaca (SAS).

SAS director Jana Pekarovičová said that the oldest participant is Raoul Alexis, 78, who is attending the SAS school for the eighth time.

The youngest student is 18-year-old Erika Kopanci from the United States, the SITA news agency reported.

The summer school schedule includes Slovak lessons, discussions, and trips around the country.
