Defence minister flies to Iraq

SLOVAK DEFENCE Minister Juraj Liška unexpectedly visited the Slovak troops in Iraq at their base, Camp Charlie, in the town of Hillah on August 24.

Liška said that the Slovak troops would stay in Iraq as long as they were able to carry out their humanitarian mission, the Hospodárske noviny daily wrote. The Slovak unit specialises in mine elimination.
