Trenčín Gate opens to entertainment

THE CITY festival of traditional culture, sport, and entertainment called At the Trenčín Gate will spill its activities into the streets and squares of Trenčín between September 10 and 12.

THE CITY festival of traditional culture, sport, and entertainment called At the Trenčín Gate will spill its activities into the streets and squares of Trenčín between September 10 and 12.

The main programme will take place on Mierové námestie. Friday will bring a show by the locally popular country-dance band Maryland, and country-music band Country Tip from Brezová pod Bradlom at 16:00. Saturday's Trenčín Feast will feature performances by folk ensembles, fencing groups, and various theatres from around the country. The Slovak revival band Captain Slice will close the day with a concert starting at 20:30. Sunday will continue in the folk-dance and music spirit until late afternoon.
