Polish "ritual" comes to Žilina

TEATR ZAR from the Polish town of Wroclav arrives in Žilina September 18 and 19 with its unconventional theatre play: Ewangelie dzieciństwa (Gospels of Childhood). The performances will take place at 20:00 in Žilina's Town Theatre.

TEATR ZAR from the Polish town of Wroclav arrives in Žilina September 18 and 19 with its unconventional theatre play: Ewangelie dzieciństwa (Gospels of Childhood). The performances will take place at 20:00 in Žilina's Town Theatre.

The play, directed by Jarosław Fret, is close to a ritual. It encompasses "fragments of anticipation on immorality from childhood memories, narrations about a body's fate - love, indignity, and death, as well as an unrealistic story about resurrection". The play premiered in October 2003 in Brzezinka near Wroclav.
