PARLIAMENT has again failed to fill the vacant seat of parliamentary deputy speaker. In another secret ballot, the New Citizen's Alliance (ANO) MP Jirko Malchárek received just 63 votes from the 92 MPs present. He needed 76 to be elected, reported the Pravda daily.
The seat has been vacant since ANO chairman Pavol Rusko became the country's Economy Minister a year ago. Since then several secret ballots for the post have taken place, with the ruling coalition unable to agree on an acceptable replacement.
