THE Danubiana Meulensteen Art Museum has added Spanish artist Josep Guinovart to its programme for this year. Until December 13 art lovers can see more than 40 works by the contemporary Spanish artist, with an emphasis on the stylistic development of his later work. The 77-year-old native of Barcelona is a seminal figure in the Spanish avant-garde movement of the 20th century and he continues to produce his intensive sculptural pieces with a passion. Fashion trends are foreign territory to Guinovart, preferring to follow an independent path, strictly in the belief that an artist must continually have freedom of expression, and not adhere to one individualistic style for the sake of artistic success. The exhibition is open daily (except Monday) between 10:00 and 18:00. Tickets cost Sk60. Danubiana Meulensteen Art Museum is located at the Čunovo Water Works. For more information call 0903/605-505.
