Foreign banking freedom

OPENING a foreign bank account may become that much easier in future for Slovak citizens. If an amendment bill put forward by Free Forum (SF) MPs is passed, Slovaks will no longer have to report to the Finance Ministry or the central NBS bank when they open a foreign bank account, according to the TASR news agency.

"People have the right to handle their legal property as they choose," said Free Forum in a statement.
