Bank robber escapes with Sk170,000 (€4250)

In the twentieth bank robbery in Slovakia this year, a masked and armed
robber took about Sk 170,000 (€4250) from the HVB Bank in Trnava, October
11.

The man was described as about 25 years old, wearing a grey sports jacket,
blue jeans, a baseball cap and sunglasses.

According to Interior Minister Vladimir Palko the number of bank robberies
in Slovakia is not alarming. In Austria, for example, 82 banks have
already been robbed this year. In Germany 1,000 banks are robbed annually and in Italy this number rises to about 2,500.
