More laws to fight corruption

THE CABINET plans to draft two new laws to strengthen its fight against corruption. Firstly, it considers the current law on export and import licences too weak.

The new bill would update the categorisation of, and accelerate the issuing of, export and import licences, the news wire SITA wrote.

Secondly, plans are afoot to amend the land register law, to reflect the changing conditions of the market and increase flexibility and transparency in the financing of the land register.
