Mozzarella to be produced in Slovakia

A LOCAL dairy company Milsy from Bánovce nad Bebravou plans investing €2.6 million into a new line for producing mozzarella cheese in cooperation with Italian dairy Galbani, SITA news agency wrote.

"With the [Italian] recipe we plan to launch new production in the beginning of 2005," Milsy's Walter Mayer said.

The new production facility should create 40-50 jobs.

Milsy's 2004 nine months sales grew 31 year-on-year to Sk928.3 million. The company posted Q3 profit of Sk3 million.

Since 2001 Milsy is controlled by an Austrian company Lactoprot International.
