THE SLOVAK Embassy in Washington DC opens What Is Creativity - Synergetic Process, a new exhibition displaying works by Paul Warhola and Lena Lešková-Bubánová. Housed at the embassy's Koloman Sokol Gallery, 3523 International Court, the exhibition will run until the middle of December.

Warhola, the older brother of the famous pop artist Andy Warhol, exhibits his "chicken footprint paintings", in which he stamps silk-screened prints with chicken feet dipped in paint. According to the critics, Paul has found a way to combine the commercial art made famous by his brother with an artistic technique that evokes their family's working class roots in southwestern Pennsylvania. Lešková-Bubánová is a Slovak painter.
