Enel deal postponed

THE CABINET postponed by one week talks on final conditions for privatizing power producer Slovenské elektrárne (SE) to Italian energy company Enel.

Cabinet was expected to discuss the deal yesterday, November 24, but put off debate because of reported deficiencies in contracts prepared by the Economy Ministry and advisor PricewaterhouseCoopers, the daily SME wrote.

"The cabinet asked the investor to extend its offer to December 10," Economy Minister Pavol Rusko said.
