Slovaks fall for US visa fraud

DOZENS of Slovaks looking to find work in the United States have fallen prey to a visa scam, the TASR news wire wrote.

An unidentified individual lured a huge amount of money away from the would-be emigrants under the guise of securing US visas and green cards for them, Slovak police stated.

The US embassy in Bratislava has warned that anyone wanting to visit the US must apply for a visa in person at the embassy, and that under no circumstances would visas be issued through a third party.
