Colombia interested in Slovak mine-clearing equipment

Colombia is interested in Slovak technologies used in disposing of land mines, Colombia's Foreign Minister Carolina Isakson said Friday, according to the TASR news agency. The South American country is laced with mines laid by guerrilla units.

"Two people die from land mines every day in Columbia," Isakson said, while visiting Slovakia.

Colombia's embassy in Austria is to contact Slovak companies that produce mine-clearance equipment.
