Thanks to the snowstorms, Slovakia offers excellent snow conditions right now. Many resorts have very good ski-and-stay packages and ski slopes are uncrowded. The recent storm, however, damaged the Tatra electric railway and the gondola to Lake Skalnaté pleso.

Thanks to the snowstorms, Slovakia offers excellent snow conditions right now. Many resorts have very good ski-and-stay packages and ski slopes are uncrowded. The recent storm, however, damaged the Tatra electric railway and the gondola to Lake Skalnaté pleso. They will be out of service until further notice, but the regular rail service from Bratislava to Poprad is running. Buses supply the railway link from Poprad to Štrbské Pleso.
