Neo-Nazis sentenced for promoting fascism

THREE members of the musical group NS Band will serve two-year sentences for propagating fascism, according to the daily SME.

The Martin district court sentenced them to an unconditional prison sentence for supporting movements that oppress human rights and freedoms.

During a house search, the police found photos of Adolf Hitler and Nazi signs belonging to the band. The band performed mostly at events organized by neo-Nazis.

The members of the group were arrested in 2003 and have since been kept in pre-trial custody.

An album of songs released by the band includes such titles as Ku-klux-klan and Parasites.

Members of the neo-Nazi movement are mostly people between the ages of 14 and 25, said human rights activist Ladislav Ďurkovič of People Against Racism.
